LEUCEMIA AGUDA ASOCIADA A OTRAS NEOPLASIAS: TERATOMA MALIGNO DE MEDIASTINO Y ANGIOFIBROMA DE OVARIOS
Abstract
We report a case of a 38 years old patient who simultaneously showed an acute leukaemia and a mediastinal malignant teratoma, presenting a year later a bilateral ovaric angiofibroma associated to relapse of leukaemia. We reviewed the autopsies done at San Juan de Dios Hospital during a period of 22 years and found out only four (4) cases of leukaemia associated with other types of malignant neoplasias. Likewise, pathological and clinical reports as well as available data in our country, seem to suggest that this association is unfrequent here which apparently contrast with the observed in other places.
