Impact of clinical research in the development of a country

Abstract

With the increasing emergence of research centers though hiring in Colombia and South America, it is necessary to highlight the reason for this situation and the economic as well as academic benefits that it brings to each country, and the growing interest of the pharmaceutical industry to penetrate more in these countries where the number of people, the quality of research and the costs have been attractive. In Colombia there are 108 research centers, 53 of which are members of the Colombian Association of research centers, being Diabetes and Endocrinology the subjects preferred by researchers in Colombia
