Ecografía a la cabecera del paciente en neumología
Abstract
Pulmonary pathology is commonly encountered in medical practice, and findings on lung ultrasound show excellent correlation with other diagnostic modalities, such as chest CT scans. It is essential for healthcare providers to be familiar with these ultrasound findings. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in pulmonology enables effective detection of interstitial involvement, which is typical of conditions like pulmonary edema, as well as consolidation syndromes such as pneumonia. Additionally, diaphragmatic ultrasound proves useful in a variety of settings, from outpatient clinics to intensive care units. This narrative review discusses the use of bedside ultrasound in pulmonology
