Abstract
Ultrasonography as a diagnostic tool is non-expensive, accurate and a timely intervention useful in the emergency department and many other scenarios. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE) are now susceptible to ultrasound evaluation at the bedside to give a big clinical picture to the treating physician. Two-point and three-point protocol for DVT are accurate for this diagnosis. Routine evaluation of abdominal aorta is crucial for patients in critical and non-critical scenarios. In this review the technique and clinical application of vascular ultrasound is reviewed
